December 2016/January 2017 Juniors Report
During this time frame our Juniors and one collegiate represented Stemmers Run
in the following tournaments:
(1) MSRPA Robert Inness Memorial:
This tournament consisted of a postal and the Shoulder-to-Shoulder Championship. Results were as follows:
There were a total of 57 shooters that participated in the Postal Portion of this event. This was a 3x10 event. Scores were as follows:
Annie M shot a 193-2 and finished 37th.
There were a total of 20 shooters which included Collegiate, Juniors and Coaches. This was a 60 Shot Standing Tournament. The Shoulder to Shoulder Championship was only open to Juniors. Scores were as follows:
Patrick S shot a 519-9, finished 13th overall and 7th in Junior Class and qualified for the Shoulder –to-Shoulder Championship.
Coach Ed shot a 440-2 and finished in 17th place overall.
This was a 3x10 tournament. Scores were as follows:
David A shot a 227-0 and finished 484th out of 823 nationally and finished 112th out of 238 regionally
Annie M shot a 201-1 and finished 649th out of 823 nationally and finished 159th out of 238 regionally
Kacey B shot a 198-2 and finished 658th out of 823 nationally and finished 162nd out of 238 regionally
Patrick S shot a 277-8 and finished 238th out of 395 nationally and finished 102nd out of 175 regionally.
This was a 3x20 tournament. Scores are as follows:
There were a total of 59 shooters:
Kacey B shot a 411-5 and finished in 39th place.
Annie M shot a387-1 and finished in 47th place.
There were a total of 10 Shooters
Patrick S participated in the tournament for the first time in January 2017. In Air Rifle he shot 534-12 for 60 shots standing. This is a personal best and he finished 210th out 297 shooters. In smallbore he shot a 498-9 and finished in 225th out of 275 shooters.
Liz B is currently shooting for the University of Akron Zips Rifle Club (UAZRC). The club participates in various shoulder to shoulder and postal matches each month. The postal matches are as part of the Western Intercollegiate Rifle Conference. Results posted by the Conference through the end of December had Liz in 1st place for Air Rifle and 2nd Place in Smallbore. The Akron Zips Rifle Team was in 1st place for both Air and Smallbore through the end of December. The Conference Championship will be held on February 23-25 at University of Purdue.
