AGC Meeting
Del Cockey
410-636-6699
The AGC is asking for help with the construction of the lower range house. If anyone has a skill conducive to this work and some time they would like to donate, please contact Del.
The carriages at the 200-yard range will be replaced. This has been an ongoing issue for quite some time and has reached the point of being a danger to the public shooting on the range. Look for these repairs to happen soon.
It was brought to everyone's attention that when a junior shooter is participating in a Trap Shoot they should be paying $1.50 per round, not the standard $2.50 rate for members.
The Gathering was held on June 9th and was very well received. This was an event for non-shooters to get information about the range and the shooting sports. Everyone in attendance had a good time.
LegislativeReport
Don Hoffman
410-795-4879
State Bill SB509 was passed which allows the government to confiscate private property and turn it over to a developer. All of the details are not known about this bill, but it is something to keep your eyes on in the future.

Jay will be going to Camp Perry the end of July. If there is something you would like to have picked up while he is there, see Jay with cash in hand.

A letter from the President
No letter from the President was received in time for publication
in this newsletter.
From the Secretary
I was unable to attend the May meeting and my back up note taker was called away on an emergency, which left us with no minutes for the last meeting. Stu has informed me that it was a very short meeting, with very low attendance. I am sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused any member.
Web Page
I hope you have had a chance to check out the information posted on the web page. Sean works very hard keeping the information up to date and it would be a shame if the club members did not take advantage of this resource

Fundraising
A club cannot survive without the money necessary to pay the expenses.
The price of membership dues is not always enough to cover the expenses
of maintaining the club. That does not even include any special events
that the club would like to hold. If you have a knack for fundraising
techniques or just a desire to become more involved in your club and would
like to take on this task, please call Stu.
Come One, Come All
The Pistol Picnic will be held on July 22nd beginning at 11:00am. The club will provide the hot dogs, hamburgers, rolls, condiments and paper products. We ask that everyone bring something to share with the group. Everyone is invited and please bring the family. This is a good time to share your sport with your family and friends. Even if they don't shoot, it is a fun and relaxing day and the food is always good.

June Meeting Minutes
Once the Pledge of Allegiance had been said Stu made a couple of public service announcements regarding other clubs at the range. Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club is selling raffle tickets $2.00 each or 3 tickets for $5.00. There are three prizes and the winners will have their choice.
The Maryland State Games will be held on July 28th and there is some effort being made to shoot Summer Biathlon at Marriotsville. More on that as the information becomes available. Del will be checking on whether or not the hours worked at this event will count towards range badge credit.
Stu issued a challenge to all members to recruit one new member each by the September meeting. Let's see what we can do to achieve his goal.
