AGC Meeting
Del Cockey
410-636-6699
The AGC is asking for help with the construction of the lower range house. If anyone has a skill conducive to this work and some time they would like to donate, please contact the range office at 410-461-8532. They will let you know what needs to be done.
The carriages at the 200-yard range have been ordered and will be installed upon their arrival.
There was a motion at the AGC meeting to sponsor a Junior Team. There will be more on that when a decision is made.
Safety reminder: Do not handle guns during the time out. We have had several instances where guns were being loaded or packed up when the line was supposed to be safe. Please remember, during this time, you may not touch your guns.
A copy of the leasing agreement was presented for the Cell Tower Property. It is being reviewed and discussed. The lease puts the AGC at risk for insurance and taxes on the property. The members of Stemmers decided to vote against the Cell Tower on AGC property.
A motion was made to donate a gift of $1000.00 to Eddie Grove. Stemmers voted against this donation.
A motion was made to stop rental of the Lincoln Trap on Sunday.
This was voted down.
There is a form available to apply to the Maryland State Police for a training course in weapons. It is on the web page if anyone is interested.
Any requests for events on the 2002 Calendar for Marriottsville must be made on the proper form and correctly filled out before they will be considered. Robin will submit the form for Stemmers.

There are several fundraisers out now for politicians that are supporters of gun owners. Please help where you can.
A motion was made to purchase four tickets to support Jerry Barnes' Fundraiser and carried. The decision was made to add these to the 50/50 drawing as additional prizes at this meeting, as the fundraiser will be held before the next meeting.

A letter from the President
Please make an effort to bring in one new member by the end of the year. If the club wants to grow, we need everyone's help. We are still looking for someone to head the Bowling Pin Matches and a Fundraising Committee. If you are interested, please contact me.
Web Page
I hope you have had a chance to check out the information posted on the web page. Sean works very hard keeping the information up to date and it would be a shame if the club members did not take advantage of this resource.

Fundraising
A club cannot survive without the money necessary to pay the expenses. The price of membership dues is not always enough to cover the expenses of maintaining the club. That does not even include any special events that the club would like to hold. If you have a knack for fundraising techniques or just a desire to become more involved in your club and would like to take on this task, please call Stu.
Come One, Come All
The Shotgun Picnic is held on August 26th beginning at 10:00am. This is a lot of fun, even if you don't regularly shoot trap. There are many people with shotguns that are more than happy to help you try the sport. If you have ever thought you might like to try it out, now is the time. When else would you get to try a new sport and eat good food all at the same time while in the company of some very nice people.
Don't forget there is no meeting in August.
See you on September 16th.

July Meeting Minutes
Once the Pledge of Allegiance had been said Stu announced that some of the other clubs still have raffle tickets available for interested parties. Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club is selling raffle tickets $2.00 each or 3 tickets for $5.00. There are three prizes and the winners will have their choice.
The Maryland State Games were held on July 28th and the turnout was great. The shooting was some of the best in the country. For those that helped out, thank you. For those that could not make it this year, please think about helping next year. The event gets bigger every year and volunteers are always needed.
It was brought up that there have been many safety infractions noted on the firing line lately. Club officers will be notified if you violate the safety rules. The President will be speaking to you about any problems. These violations will not be taken lightly. If you do not have a current copy of the Range Rules, please see Scott Zeck or Robin Meyer.
Robin has two size medium jackets she would like to give away to someone that can get some use out of them. Please give her a call if you are interested.
Don't forget there is not meeting in August. See you in September.
